The other part of the planning process is to choose a structure that will deliver your message in a convincing way.
Choose a Structure
The framework is the order when you make your factors to create a persuasive story. The three set ups described here are useful starting points but there are plenty of others, is to do conform them to suit your reader and your materials. writing reports and proposals
I know every discipline has it is four Ps – well, here is mine. That is useful when you are putting forward your chosen solution to an accepted problem. Please note that the words you start with P are suggestions for the content of the parts of your proposal, NOT headings.
Placement – how things stand right now factually and without comment (how many people in team, continuous increase in the amount of work… )
Difficulty – why this condition of affairs is not ideal (performance indicators not being met, low comfort… )
Possibilities – discuss the pros and negatives of several possible classes of action (don’t your investment “do nothing” option as well as consequences)
Proposal – which of the options you prefer (and why if it is not already obvious).
This is useful when you are persuading your readers to consider some specific action such as come to an event, give you opinions or visit your website.
Attention – a planning or subject line that is relevant and interesting to your reader
Interest/involvement – a section that reels them in and convinces them that this is something they need to pay attention to
Details – now that they are listening, provide the meat of your meaning
Action – tell them (or summarise, if you have previously told them) just what action you require
Information – Conclusions – Suggestions
Many regular monthly information are written this way, but this can be a flexible condition that lends itself well to financial analysis, words of complaint, ideas for courses of action and a whole array of other writing tasks.
Initial, stick to the facts, making sure you say nothing that your audience will have any approval for disagreeing with. Then simply build with them to provide your analysis, views, dialogue and conclusions as appropriate, adding no information that wasn’t already introduced in the facts. Finally, bottom your tips on the conclusions and they will be convincing. How you split the knowledge in the document should rely upon how the reader will see it easiest to absorb. Pertaining to instance, you can have several sections with the facts, conclusions and tips logic repeated in each one. The key to making this structure work is to consider that every conclusion must be reinforced up by at least one fact and advice must lead out of the conclusions. So you finish up with a tale along the lines of “these and these are generally how things are, which shows us this so we need to do that. inches
When you read an article that you find interesting and persuasive, take a moment to note the structure of it. Give a name and keep in mind to adapt it for your own use when the time is right.
